Caregiver Relief
Program
In Greensburg, Seton Center administers the Caregiver Relief Program in cooperation with and funded
by* the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging. Through this program,
our staff provides relief for family caregivers by providing companionship and oversight to senior citizens who
are homebound. Each staff member spends approximately three to four
hours per visit at the homes of our clients, allowing caregivers
much needed time to attend to many of their own diverse personal
needs.
Our staff members, contracted through the Senior Community Service Employment Program at Westmoreland County Community
College, are patient, caring individuals who share the "gift
of time." This free service is deeply appreciated by both homebound
senior citizens and their everyday family caregivers.
